This was interesting, I had never tried getting pictures of a birds nest and eggs before. The thing is, if you are not tall enough it can be a bit dangerous. I got my riding mower out and climbed on it to get my camera close enough to get the picture. I did not know how many eggs were in there untill I saw the pictures. How thrilling was that? I also did not know what they would look like, now THAT was just tooo neat!
Kays Agapanthis? I will have to ask again....I came out the back door of another yard and saw a Mockingbird!!!
Wow, I have my camera all of the time now so I can get pictures for Kay.
As I approched the bird I noticed she had a BIG BUG(cool, bird and bug)
but then she went over to this brush and I saw a movement... A BABY Mockingbird! ON THE GROUND. Oh, how excited I was to get THIS picture... So excited I hit the OFF button TWICE before I actually got the pictures. GEEE....
I was at work and had to go back inside. Later I went to see if I could get a picture of the mom feeding him. He or she was not there... I looked all over and found the baby walking around in the yard as if he was the inspector.
This yard must have passed the inspection as I saw at least 8 Mockingbirds.
It has been a challenge to get a picture of a mom. I will keep trying.

Hey this is great. I really like it. My favorite bird is the hummingbird. We have a bunch of chick-a-dees here. They love to swoop at you. They even hit Jessy in the head swooping at him. I never laughted so hard. Very cool to watch.
